The Flower Riviera
has always been famous for its sea, mild climate and for the many beaches that dot the coast.
However there's another face of the Riviera, a place distant from the sea, but not too far, a few kilometers away from the coast there's a hidden wonderful hinterland
that will make you discover villages with a millenary history.
It will open before you wide moutain-like landscapes, with peaks high about a thousand meters above sea level, up to Mount Saccarello which with its 2200 meters is the highest peak of the entire region.
The cooperative STRADE, Liguria da Scoprire
, offers a series of appointments and guided excursions at the discovery of some of the most breathtaking corners
of the Ligurian Ponent.
Every Sunday of October
will be dedicated to walks along the trails of the hinterlands, starting from villages like Castelvittorio, Airole, Ceriana....
The guided visits between the Riviera and the Ligurian Alps
have every week a detailed program that can be consulted at the touristic offices of thhe province of Imperia and Savona .
Instead all the Saturdays of the month of October
will be dedicated to walks with a sea view, starting from some villages that dot the coast, you can discover the paths and the muletracks that connect the sea with the hinterland. All the programs will be available at the touristic offices of the province of Imperia and on the website of the cooperative.
